FRAME DIMENSIONS
Where to find the frame dimensions

All frames will have their dimensions printed on them, finding them can be tricky but they will be there somewhere.

The commonest locations are on the inside of the bridge or arms, but they can also be found on the ear pieces or even under the bridge on the nose rests.

What the dimensions mean

The dimensions, in millimeters, usually come in two parts: the first part will indicate the width of the eye piece and the bridge (48 x 20 to the left) and the second will indicate the length of the arm (140 in the above picture.)

Will a frame suit me?

After the shape of the eye pieces, the overall width of the frame is the most reliable indication of whether the spectacles will suit your face. This will be roughly twice the width of the eye piece plus the bridge width.
NB. this doesn't include the protrusion of the arms as they attach to the eye pieces but this has very little effect on the look of the frames on your face.
