1. How can you offer designer frames
at such low prices?
These spectacles are special promotional stock we secured
when opportunity arose. We can't guarantee a continued supply
of these models so don't hesitate - it's first come first
served.
2. How do I know if a pair of frames
will suit me?
With the FocusFix Virtual Modelling System you can actually "try on" our frames, the frames will be accurately scaled to give a true representation of what you'd look like. We've added over 300 frames already and are working on the rest daily.
The most important factors are the shape of the frames and
their size, certain shapes suit certain faces better than
others. We've compiled a rough
guide to selecting a frame to help you decide if
a frame will suit you.
3. What if I find I don't like them
when I receive them?
You can return the spectacles if you don't like them and
we'll refund the full frame cost on receipt. If you ordered special lenses (eg.high-index or transitions) we can only refund half the lens cost. Postage costs are non-refundable.
4. What if my spectacles need minor
adjustments for comfort?
Unfortunately we are unable to offer the adjustments your
optician can provide.
5. Do you accept vouchers?
Sorry, we don't accept NHS or other vouchers at present.
6. Can you supply bifocals & varifocals?
With the launch of our Virtual Modelling System we are now able to offer bi/vari-focals (if you order via the VMS.) Prices start at £19 for bi-focals and £29 for vari-focals.
7. Do you offer special lenses like
reactolite and high index?
Yes, we have two types of photo-chromatics, the market leader Essilor Transitions and a cheaper unbranded version. High index lenses are also available, from 1.6 to 1.74 indexes.
8. What about ordinary sunglasses?
Any of our frames can be made into sunglasses, just select
the colour and degree of tint and select plano
in the prescription to indicate plain lenses.
9. ...and prescription sunglasses?
No problem - we can tint standard and hard-coated lenses to your requirements.
10. How long does delivery take?
For standard, hard coated and AR lenses we aim for 3 days with a 90% success rate. For special lenses (eg. High Index or Transitions) delivery is normally within 7 days.
11. I don't have a copy of my prescription?
All opticians are obliged to provide you with a copy of your
prescription when you have an eye examination. If you didn't
receive a copy all you have to do is ask and your prescription
will be freely provided.
12. My prescription doesn't have any
sphere values?
While not common it is possible, for instance if you have
an astigmatism (this just means your eye is not a perfect
sphere and is very common) but otherwise normal vision.
13. My prescription doesn't have any
cyl or axis values?
This is more common - the cyl and axis are to correct an
astigmatism so if you don't have one you won't have a cyl
or axis.
14. My prescription is outside the
range on your form?
Unfortunately you will require custom lenses and accurate
measurements with the frame on your face to ensure proper
vision. If you order through the VMS we may be able to help, please give us a call on 0208 1236858 and if we can help we will.
15. What's the add value for?
This is an addition to the prescription that may be required
if you require a separate prescription for reading.
16. There's no PD on my prescription?
This is the norm, you could ask your optician and they may
provide it but it's easy to measure and you could just get
a friend to measure it. There's a guide
to taking your pupilliary distance available to
help you.
